A little Biography on the new owners of Dovie’s…
Born and raised in Massachusetts since 1976, Adam grew up with the culinary arts skills in his blood. Since he was young, he’s been intrigued by the food industry, and always dabbled in it whenever he got the chance, from boy scouts to his mother’s catering business. He schooled at Nashoba Tech, and went to finish his degree in culinary arts from the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. From there, he immediately went onto the Stonehedge Inn for two years, the Celebrity Cruise Lines for year, the Cullen Ranch in Quinlan, Tx. for four years, and continued his love for food up north in Massachusetts for the following five years, only to move back to the beautiful state of Texas to purchase Dovie’s Restaurant with his wife, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was born and raised in Irving, Texas since 1981. After a grand New Year’s Eve party was rudely interrupted by the birthing pains of her mother, a beautiful, healthy girl was born on New Year’s Day, only to show her humorous appreciation for the new year by coming out breach first. As she grew up, she lifted the spirits of everyone that made eye contact with her by giving them a warmhearted smile. Charming her way through the world, she went to Lamar Junior High, Nimitz High, Rains High, and started her degree in Business Management only to find out she was wasting her time, and money, and got her and Adam started on their own business venture as Adam & E’s Catering. After two years, they decided to move back to be closer to her family and start their entrepreneurship at Dovie’s Restaurant.
